In the
latest issue of Aussie OXM halo 3 is confirmed to be in
production. The xbox 360 will be able to have a MP3 player
plug into it and download the music you want. The
rechargable battery on the 360 will be 30 hours roughly.
The console will have dual fans. The remote for it will be
able to turn on the TV, 360 and do some cool stuff. PDZ is
going to have a ranking sustem that is said to be better
than the Halo2 rankings. The power button will light up
with colours to let you know what screen you are on. Music
can be streamed across Live to other players, so can video
and slideshow prensentations. The console will feature 3
USB ports, two at the front and one at the back.
The memory cards will come with a special case that will
fit on a keychain. The console features a binding button
so you can link the controller to your 360 and make it
remember your console. While watching movies two of three
power PC cores will shutdown to make it quieter and
cooler. The console pwer button will glow green when you
get an invite and split into quadrents for splitscreen
play. The DVD and Music sustem can be used with a hand
contoller, you dont need the remote. There will be a wired
controller if you want one due to wireless not being great
with how your console is set up. The console supports 4
controllers. The hardrive is 20GB but it is removable and
upgradeable. The console will support wireless networking
but you need an extra piece for this.
The camera features 8 times the resolution of the EYE TOY.
The video res is at 640x480 and stills are at 1280 res.
The ATI graphics card is about two jumps ahead of the
current PC graphics card. There is a add on to the
controller featuring a full QWERTY keyboard. The
controller features twin motor rumble. There will
eventually be a instant messenger feature on the console.
You may also be able to watch the best players in the
world play via a spectator mode.

Microsoft
Game Studios officially revealed the Halo 2 Multiplayer
Map Pack, a collection of nine new multiplayer maps to be
released on June 28. There's two way to acquire them:
purchase a hard copy at retail for $19.99 and get two
special videos with the disc or download them over time on
Xbox Live for a final cost of $17.98. Two will be made
available for free, courtesy of Mountain Dew, sometime in
late April. However, if you hold out until the end of
summer, all maps will be available for free. A look at the
